The IURC programme will join the Malaysian Urban Forum 2021 as a knowledge partner with Pablo Gandara, the Team Leader of IURC Asia & Australasia, participating as a discussant in the “Consumer Behaviour Towards a Circular Pathway” roundtable on 8 September, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
The IURC Asia & Australasia will organise a kick-off meeting for EU and Malaysian cities that will cooperate within the IURC programme. Joining the meeting will be representatives from Bologna and Imola NCI from Italy; Eixo Atlantico, Vila Nova and Maia from Portugal; and Seberang Perai, Georgetown and Malacca City from Malaysia.
The cities will cooperate on several areas including circular economy and will be briefed on pilot projects and action plans that are expected to result from their cooperation.
The EU-Korea Climate Action Project closes in October. Join this webinar to learn about the results of this cooperation on 16 September 2021, 8:00-11:00 CET.
The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), in partnership with the European Union in India (EUD India), the International Urban and Regional Cooperation (IURC) programme of the European Union, and the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), are launching an e-Certificate Course on Mainstreaming Urban Climate Action on 29 September 2021 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM.
The course builds on the 4-part Webinar Series on Mainstreaming Urban Climate Action designed and delivered by TERI and the International Urban Cooperation (IUC) programme in 2020 and aims to empower the audience to gauge the application of climate change knowledge in decision-making, urban policymaking, and governance processes. The e-course will be accessible on the National Urban Learning Platform (NULP) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), implemented by the National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA).
In the context of the IURC project, the coordinators of the selected European and Korean pilot cities are invited to join a kick-off event on Thursday, 30 September 2021, 17:00-18:00 KST (10:00-11:00 CEST).
