HE Mr David Daly, Ambassador of the European Union to Thailand, together with the ambassadors/deputy heads of mission of 12 other EU Member States visited Chiang Mai on 20-21 March 2023 to meet with the local government officials, politicians, academics and other stakeholders.
On this occasion, IURC Asia & Australasia arranged a visit to the Science and Technology Park of Chiang Mai University (STeP), which is a partner within the city-to-city cooperation between Chiang Mai and Granada, Spain. The delegation was introduced to the amazing work that STeP is doing to promote the innovation ecosystem in the city and the northern region of Thailand and Chiang Mai’s leadership in the Council of University Presidents of Thailand. Meanwhile, Mr Francisco Luis Benitez, Innovation Director of Fidesol and Senior Advisor to Granada City, made a presentation on potential cooperation between the private sectors of Chiang Mai and Granada.
