Mobility is a key area for the development of sustainable and socially inclusive cities. Yet many cities fail to provide the urban environment and transport system to tackle the challenges of our time, namely climate change, public health and social equity. To face this issue the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI) together with the University College of London (UCL) developed a free, introductory online course “Transforming Urban Mobility: Introduction to Transport Planning for Sustainable Cities” starting on 4th October.
In a self-paced, on-demand environment the participants learn about the challenges of car-centric planning and example solutions for walking, cycling, public transport and electric mobility. It is ideal for anyone – regardless of prior knowledge – to broaden your horizon on the topic and engage with learners from all over the world getting first-hand insights from respective contexts.
